During a recent episode of the podcast “Battleground,” Matt Hardy expressed his interest in another ring face-off against The Dudley Boyz. Matt stated,
“‘I think we’re ready. Are you ready? Myself and Jeff, we’re prepared to the hilt. Be it the morning ice baths or the cold plunges, the rigorous workouts or staying in shape even in our middle ages, we’re all up for it. We’re ready. Competing against Dudley Boyz in middle age would be an experience. As long as Bully and D-Von are ready for it, we can start anytime. A match for the TNA titles sounds intriguing.”
Responding to this proposal, Bully Ray recently took to Twitter to voice his views. He contended that Matt and Jeff need the presence of their WWE rivals for a final thrilling match in the ring.
“Heard Matt Hardys comments.
Theres no Team left @ThisIsTNA for the Hardys to wrestle.
Thats why they “called us out.”
We are 2x TNA Tag Champs and the only team in TNA HOF.
Matt and Jeff can never surpass us.
The Hardys NEED the Dudleys…
And they know it.

The Dudley Boyz and The Hardys were iconic teams of the tag team division during the Attitude Era. Both teams, along with Edge & Christian, originated the TLC match back in 2000.
Moreover, all three teams actively participated in the heart-stopping TLC 2 at WrestleMania X-Seven in 2001. Each team tasted success with reigns as WWE Tag Team Champions.
