Recently, Bully Ray raised several questions around major WWE titles during a broadcast of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast. Ray took a particularly skeptical view on the Undisputed WWE Championship’s supremacy over the World Heavyweight Championship.
While discussing the numerous titles in WWE—around “15 or 16 championships” according to Ray—he pointed out the paradox given that the core principle wrestlers learn is ‘less is more.’
Ray posed a question during the podcast, stating, “Cody is the Undisputed Champion. Which even that word, he is the ‘undisputed’ champion. But, the fact that GUNTHER is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, that’s disputable… What makes Cody’s championship better than GUNTHER’s championship? But I understand how there’s a difference in the two. Tell me what’s the difference between the two Women’s World Championships?”
In another recent podcast episode of “Power & Glory”, Royce Adams, son of the posthumous WWE Legend Brian “Crush” Adams, was the guest. He revealed that his father has been signed to a retrospective WWE Legends contract by his family.
Royce shared the backstory, stating, “I started seeing rumors and stuff online and all that. ‘Oh, yeah, Demolition legends Ax and Smash are on a Legends Deals.’ I’m like, that’s pretty cool. Then sure enough, I get a call. I get a call, and this guy tells me, ‘Yeah, I’m with the WWE. We’re trying to reach out to the family, the owners of Crush’s estate.’ I’m like, okay, yeah, this is Royce, his son. I don’t even know how he managed to find me. He tells me that he looked at the obituary of Crush, found out he had kids, me included, and then he looked me up, and he told me he saw me on Facebook, and he was like, ‘Yeah, you were really easy to track down, actually.’ So anyway, yeah, he reached out to me and my mom, and we agreed to sign the posthumous contract, I guess you can call it, and yeah, so that’s how my dad is now a part of the whole legends thing with the rest of Demolition.”
This bombshell revelation follows the news from the previous month that fellow Demolition members, Ax and Smash, inked similar deals.
