Frankie Kazarian recently shared his thoughts on the term of SCU in All Elite Wrestling on the “Battleground Podcast.” In case you’re not sure, SCU is a group made up of Kazarian, Christopher Daniels, and Scorpio Sky that existed from 2019-2021.
Kazarian expressed, “Truthfully, SCU was never fully utilized in the early stages of AEW television, the elements that led to our stardom, like the things we did on BTE, our microphone gigs, and our group synergy, those weren’t showcased the way they could have been, and should have been in my opinion. In the initial days, SCU really made waves in the last year of Ring of Honor, especially in 2018, and our group was right up there with The Elite in terms of popularity and rivalry. For some unknown reason, that version of SCU was never brought to light.”
In other news, according to Bully Ray, Will Ospreay has made significant progress in his promotional talks over the last year.
During his time on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Ray discussed Ospreay’s growth in mic performance since his advent in AEW. Below are some notable points from the podcast:
About Ospreay’s promotional skills: “Will [Ospreay] has excelled in 2024 on the mic, and his emotional appeal to the audience. I would dare to say he’s one of the ones who has improved the most in addressing the crowd. Even though we awarded Drew [McIntyre] for being the best at it, I would suggest Will has made one of the biggest leaps, and hence people relate to Will.”
About Ospreay’s AEW Worlds End match against Kyle Fletcher: “Regarding the blood in the initial match, I can comprehend why people questioned ‘the necessity for blood? Why the blood in the first match?’ I understand, but they were attempting to … weave a storyline.”
