During a recent episode of the podcast, “Busted Open After Dark,” acclaimed pro wrestling veteran Bully Ray applauded HOOK’s decision to retire the FTW Championship at the notable AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam event.

In an impressive show of skill, HOOK managed to protect his title in a face-off against Roderick Strong. Following his successful defense, he returned the title to its rightful owner, and his father, Taz.

In sharing his view on the situation, Ray mentioned, “I like how that story of that championship came full circle. I love it when you can connect the dots in pro wrestling, and everything made sense. If you’re going to retire that championship, Queens is the place to do it, and I’m happy that the FTW Championship has been retired. I don’t think the FTW Championship has a place in professional wrestling, unless it’s on Taz’s shoulder, that’s where it belongs. I understand why they brought it back, I understand what they attempted to do with it, I understand the significance of HOOK, I like the fact that HOOK retired it, but that’s Taz’s championship and it was created for a very rebellious reason.”

In a similar vein, pro wrestling figure MVP has recently voiced his belief that Swerve Strickland, a former holder of the AEW World Champion title, might benefit from a shift in management.

He expressed his opinion that Prince Nana might be dropping the ball in terms of his managerial responsibilities. He made his thoughts public with a tweet stating, “But the man that burned down Swerve’s house and put him out is still walking around safe and sound. Swerve deserves better. This is BAD business…”
