If there’s one takeaway to this past Wednesday’s edition of AEW Dynamite, it’s that Eddie Kingston is beyond ready for the big time. The indie journeyman emerged onto the show fully formed, a hardened street thug with something to prove against the privileged grandson of a plumber.

"I don't think there's any difference in the Eddie Kingston that we saw last night on TV as opposed to the Eddie Kingston in real life."@bullyray5150 & @THETOMMYDREAMER discuss the debut of @MadKing1981 on @AEWonTNT last night 💣@AEWrestling @CodyRhodes pic.twitter.com/v2eWRJLV0t

Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer agree with this sentiment, talking about Kingston’s first appearance on AEW Dynamite on the latest Busted Open Radio. Tommy compares the man to fellow ECW veteran New Jack, saying that he has the ability to command attention with his words. Bully states that he loved Eddie’s entrance sans music and his promo. “It’s not so much the words he said as the way he said them. The Eddie Kingston who was pissed off at Cody last night is the same Eddie Kingston who gets pissed off at a family member and talks to them like that. He made me believe.”
