On a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, the renowned WWE Hall of Famer, Bully Ray, engaged in a conversation about the biggest attractions in the history of WWE.
When asked why he didn’t include Bruno Sammartino, the record holder for most sell-outs at Madison Square Garden, Ray had a response.
To validate his choices, Ray pointed out that icons like Hulk Hogan, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, John Cena, and Roman Reigns have managed to sell out venues globally.
Ray emphasized, “The Mount Rushmore of the WWE, work rate, drawing ability, when it comes to the ability to draw for a length of time and the amount of money generated because of any one talent, personality, or man, nobody is bigger than the Hulk [Hogan], Steve [Austin], [John] Cena and Roman [Reigns]. I’m putting Roman on the list now because of the original point made that he’s been around for ten years and he’s been at ten WrestleManias.”
