WWE Hall of Famer, Bully Ray, conveyed his perceptive remarks on a segment featuring a feud between Trent Baretta and Orange Cassidy on an episode of AEW Dynamite, which aired on May 29th.

In the sequence, Don Callis offered Cassidy an opportunity to join his clan, an invitation which Cassidy politely turned down. What followed was an unexpected attack by Trent on Cassidy, leading Trent to join the family of Don Callis.

Bully Ray gave positive feedback on the initial scene that involved Callis’s proposition and subsequent ambush by Baretta. His views were shared on a recent “Busted Open Radio” podcast where he mentioned the episode focusing on a tussle between the former AEW International Champion and Trent Beretta.

On the other hand, Ray also pointed out that allowing Cassidy to compete in the Casino Gauntlet Match on the same day undermined the weight of Baretta’s famed betrayal.

Ray expressed, “Once again, AEW negated every last ounce of Trent Beretta’s heat. We allowed Orange Cassidy to get in the ring, and once Orange Cassidy gets in that ring and does one offensive maneuver, all of Trent Beretta’s heat is gone. This is now twice they’ve gone out of their way to put heat on Trent Beretta, but it immediately comes off of him, and I don’t understand why.”
