CM Punk, a heavyweight in the WWE scene and a crowd favorite, has one potential rival who Bully Ray believes could turn the tide of fan sentiment against him.
Regaining his crown as a cherished face of WWE since his return in the last quarter of the previous year, Punk has been entangled in spats with superstars like Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre.
Bully Ray, during a recent broadcasting of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, suggested The Miz’s track record of instigating animosity against popular stars could be a game-changer. He stated,
“The Miz. The Miz holds immense talent. If anyone could confront the truth, would you recall the performance of Miz on “Talking Smack?” Remember his faceoff with Danielson? Despite the widespread admiration for Danielson, Miz managed to upset his apple cart a bit.”
“Looking at who’s got the talent and who can show the same intensity and who’s experienced enough to discuss all the backstage happenings and knows the raw truths of what transpired behind closed doors with this individual, I’d say The Miz.”
Bully Ray refers to a heated segment where Miz confronted Bryan, an episode many consider as one of the epic moments in Talking Smack history.
Revealing his villainous side earlier, The Miz backstabbed R-Truth and united with The Final Testament in their rivalry with The Wyatt Sicks.
