In a recent episode of “Busted Open Radio” podcast, famed wrestler Bully Ray offered his thoughts on several key topics, including possible directions WWE can take with the storyline surrounding Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena.
Bully Ray had this to say during the show:
Discussing the possible victory of John Cena at WrestleMania, he remarked, “I have no problem with that because now we’ll go to SummerSlam. Maybe we’ll have the rematch at SummerSlam, I have no idea, but I don’t have a problem with that.”
Regarding possible narratives WWE could explore in the ongoing feud, Bully Ray said, “I’m going to harken back to something I said ages ago that seems to be relevant yet again: when the characters are developed correctly, when the stories make sense, and when everything is set up in the proper manner, you can venture in any direction you like. The base, the structure, WWE has such a strong platform right now with these characters, they are capable of constructing any narrative they wish. That’s the charm of doing things the right way.”
Subsequently, in an episode of the “Busted Open After Dark” podcast, former world heavyweight champion Mark Henry expressed admiration for the performance Moose delivered in his NXT World Championship match against Oba Femi during last week’s NXT: Roadblock special.
Here are some remarks from Mark Henry during the show:
Commenting on his expectation for the match, Henry stated, “[Oba Femi and Moose] was like Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield about to brawl. I was on my feet and folding my arms thinking ‘Wow, this is going to be an epic clash.’ They didn’t even have to touch – they didn’t need to make contact to get me in that excited state.”
In regard to Moose’s performance, Henry enthused, “Moose really put on a show. They really impressed! Very pleased with that match.”
