On a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Bully Ray, a inductee into WWE Hall of Fame, analysed the crucial title match between reigning WWE NXT Champion Ethan Page and Trick Williams, stating its high stakes for the ex-champion.
Sharing his insights, Ray commented, “I believe that tomorrow night is a must-win for Trick Williams. I think he must defeat Ethan Page. I think if Trick does not defeat Ethan, its a small step backwards for him. I can tell by talking to Trick that there’s something in there that he doesn’t even know about; he doesn’t even know lurks inside of him or lives inside of him. But as a 30-plus year vet, I can see it, I can smell it, I know it’s there. But who in NXT can bring it out of him? I don’t think any of his peers can bring it out of him.”
Adding to the anticipation, CM Punk, who has been selected as referee for the NXT Title match pitting Page against Williams, hinted at a treat for the enthusiasts gathering at the AllState Arena “hungry.”
Punk took to Instagram to express, “Hey, if you like wrestling, you should come to the All State Arena tomorrow night for the WWE NXT debut on The CW Network. Or maybe if you’re just hungry, I dunno. Just sayin’…”
