The ascendancy of Roxanne Perez within WWE NXT has been nothing less than extraordinary.
Upon defeating the past NXT Women’s Champion, Mandy Rose, on the NXT episode on December 13, 2022, Perez has carved an imposing image for herself. The 22-year-old star has excellently depicted both hero and antagonist characters, hence everyone anticipates her imminent leap to the primary WWE roster.
In one of the latest episodes of the podcast, “Busted Open Radio,” WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray elaborated on why Roxanne’s transition to the WWE primary team might turn out to be “disastrous.”
Ray stated, “With Roxanne Perez transitioning[of to the main roster], I’m not too sure…Unless there’s a solid strategy, it may lead to failure. Sometimes, your one chance to cast a first impression on the primary roster is crucial…Do I think she’s prepared? I believe it won’t harm her to stay in ‘NXT’ for some more time. I’d prefer her maintain her position, further adapting to the ring, upgrading her psychological game, her speeches, her portrayal.”
As the current NXT Women’s Champion, Perez has safeguarded her title against several adversaries, including names like Natalya, Chelsea Green, and Jordynne Grace.
