Bully Ray provided an explanation regarding why Hendry’s involvement in NXT has been successful: “The current strategy employed with Joe is effective, and I am convinced it’s primarily due to NXT’s potential interest in making him a significant part of their team. So, I’m not surprised they’re tackling it in this manner. In my perspective, observing the developments around figures like Joe Hendry and Jordynne Grace, or anyone transitioning from TNA to NXT, it appears to be a talent assessment stage.”
Ray also speculated on the possibility of TNA stars transferring to WWE NXT: “Why wouldn’t NXT be interested in acquiring talent of the caliber of Joe Hendry, or a Jordynne Grace? It falls upon TNA’s shoulders to try and retain them, or arrange a scenario where they can remain with TNA and simultaneously be part of NXT, resulting in a win-win situation. However, in most instances, a corporation desires to have total control over their talent.”
