On a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, WWE Hall of Fame inductee Bully Ray shared his thoughts on how AEW should manage and portray Kamille. He also shared his opinion on her stepping back from confronting Hikaru Shida.
Here are some key points from the podcast discussion:
When discussing how AEW should portray the former NWA Women’s World Champion, Bully Ray said: “Anybody in AEW keen on understanding how to handle Kamille, this could be Tony Khan, the President of AEW, managers, producers, creative members, or fellow wrestlers, should look at one name, Chyna. Treating Kamille in the way WWE did with Chyna in the past will create a Chyna-like figure in Kamille. Interestingly, AEW tried to have their own version of Goldberg in Wardlow, though that wasn’t quite successful. Hopefully, things will take a positive turn for Kamille.”
Expressing his opinion on Kamille’s hesitance to confront Hikaru Shida, Bully Ray stated: “Backing down from anyone is not something she should be doing. She is a formidable bodyguard, not a cowardly one. At this stage, no one should be pushing Kamille back; the only time she should retreat is when it’s strategically apt, and with the right talent. Hikaru Shida is not that talent.”
