In a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, WWE Hall of Fame member Bully Ray shared his view that AJ Lee should make a comeback in WWE to take part in the current conflict involving CM Punk and Drew McIntyre.
Ray underscored, albeit there have already been two professional bouts between the wrestlers, he believes there’s considerable potential remaining in their rivalry.
Nic Nemeth, Ray’s co-host, insinuated that given the amount of times AJ Lee’s name has been brought up throughout the feud, her lack of appearance could lead to potential dissatisfaction among WWE followers.
Ray proclaimed, “I want to see Larry gnaw at McIntyre’s ankles and AJ deliver a low blow. I appreciate intricate plotlines like that, where familiar faces are involved. AJ has been absent for a considerable period. AJ – a cherished woman, revered amongst the WWE fans. If you reintroduce AJ Lee into this scenario, the emotional surge will inundate this narrative like you can’t fathom.”
The past Saturday’s WWE Bash In Berlin 2024 witnessed Punk emerging victorious over Drew McIntyre in a Strap Match.
Punk and McIntyre presently hold a 1-1 ratio, with The Scottish Psychopath besting the Second City Saint at the WWE SummerSlam 2024 event.
