Deadlock Pro Wrestling recently made an announcement that Bryan Keith will be renouncing the DPW National Championship due to an injury to his arm that he suffered during AEW Collision over the last weekend. The injury led to him being unable to partake in the prearranged match at AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2024.

Keith carried the title of the DPW National Championship for an incredible length of 323 days.

DPW declared: “[BREAKING] Bryan Keith has encountered an injury and with no determinable schedule of his comeback, Keith will relinquish the DPW National Championship. Being the Bounty Hunter, Keith held onto the belt for a period of 323 days which encompasses 5 defenses, breaking records continuously in both aspects. DPW’s following events are slated for July 6 and July 7 in Raleigh, North Carolina. As of now, Adam Priest is the prominent contender for the title. Further declarations on the status of the DPW National Championship will be announced shortly. We hope Bryan Keith attains fast recovery and we look forward to seeing him back in the DPW ring!”

In other news that we had recently reported on eWn, Matt Sydal underwent an operation last month on his right foot following twelve years of constant discomfort.

Through a tweet, Sydal voiced his appreciation to AEW’s medical team and also gave a glimpse of how his foot looked post-operation through an X-ray image. He posted on Twitter: “Heartfelt gratitude towards @AEW Medical Team and Florida Orthopedic for giving my foot a new life! The X-ray image provided only showcases part of the work done. I could have shared more images, but they would either be too graphic or invite foot-fetishes.”
