On a recent edition of the “Maggie and Perloff” podcast, Danielson spoke about his injury and was asked if he would be wrestling with the eye patch on. He said,

“I’m going to have to talk to the doctors. The benefit of wearing the eye patch is that, the bones are completely healed, but the benefit of wearing the eye patch is that, I still have a little bit of double division. If I take the eye patch off, I tend to get a little bit dizzy because of the motion of the eye. The eye patch stops me from getting dizzy. They may want me to wear a protective mask. We’ll see. It may end up being face mask with eye patch on top of the face mask.”

Danielson added that he was cleared to fly this past Monday. The American Dragon will make his in-ring return during tonight’s episode of AEW Collision.

Bryan Danielson, also known as “The American Dragon,” has been making headlines in the wrestling world recently due to his unique accessory – an eyepatch. The eyepatch has become a signature part of his look since he suffered an orbital bone injury earlier this year.

The injury occurred in late October, forcing Danielson to take a break from wrestling. However, he has made appearances on All Elite Wrestling (AEW) programming wearing the eyepatch, leaving fans curious about its purpose and whether he will continue to wear it in the ring.

In a recent interview on the “Maggie and Perloff” podcast, Danielson shed some light on his injury and the eyepatch. When asked if he would be wrestling with the eyepatch on, he explained, “The benefit of wearing the eyepatch is that the bones are completely healed, but I still have a little bit of double vision. If I take the eyepatch off, I tend to get a little bit dizzy because of the motion of the eye. The eyepatch stops me from getting dizzy.”

He also mentioned that he might be required to wear a protective mask along with the eyepatch or even a face mask with the eyepatch on top. This precautionary measure aims to ensure his safety and prevent any further complications during his matches.

However, there is good news for Danielson’s fans. He revealed that he was cleared to fly this past Monday, indicating that his recovery is progressing well. This means that wrestling enthusiasts can expect to see him back in action during tonight’s episode of AEW Collision.
