The AEW World Champion, Bryan Danielson, recounts how his daughter Birdie felt apprehensive about Swerve Strickland post their thrilling encounter at the AEW All In pay-per-view event.
On “The Nikki & Brie Show,” Danielson unfolded Birdie’s reaction to the match between Swerve Strickland and him, by stating,
“Birdie seemed genuinely scared of Swerve after our face-off. Swerve is genuinely a kind person, and when he was coming down the stairs … she just didn’t want to say ‘hi’, but we gently nudged her and then she was like ‘oh, he’s nice.’”
Swerve Strickland was recently present on the “No-Contest Wrestling Podcast” where he discussed various subjects, including his time spent working with Prince Nana in AEW and the positive influence Nana has provided.
Highlighted moments from the podcast can be checked out below:
On Prince Nana’s appearance on AEW TV in his absence: “Now you’re getting a glimpse of how Nana manages backstage without me. You’re peeling back another layer as yu get to see Nana’s little adventures during my absence.”
Nana’s contribution to his standing in AEW: “Just like [Michael] Jordan didn’t win anything until [Bulls coach] Phil Jackson arrived, you need that additional encouragement. I see no issue in stating that Nana dancing and adding a visual to a song made it even more spectacular.”
On his relationship with Nana: “To me, he’s a guardian angel. I often ponder what would’ve transpired if he wasn’t around? Without Nana, I would have been defeated in the Texas Deathmatch. If Nana wasn’t there, Luchasaurus would have annihilated me with a chair in the ‘House of The Dragons’ match.”
