Bryan Danielson made two big announcements on Saturday night’s episode of AEW Collision.
Danielson announced that this would be the final year of his in-ring career and that he has planned to call his shots until then.
Danielson’s first shot was to challenge Zack Sabre Jr. to a 1-on-1 matchup at AEW WrestleDream 2023 on October 1 in Seattle, WA. The match was later made official.
After issuing the challenge, Danielson was interrupted by Ricky Starks and Big Bill.
Just as Danielson was about to offer Starks a spot in the Blackpool Combat Club, Bill attacked him.
Starks pulled Bill away as if he was trying to save The American Dragon, but seconds later, he began assaulting the BCC leader.
Jon Moxley ran out to rescue Danielson, but Starks and Bill decimated the duo.

On a recent edition of his “Talk Is Jericho” podcast, Chris Jericho recalled attacking Will Ospreay at RevPro’s 11th-anniversary event ahead of their match at AEW All In 2023. He said,
“I love doing stuff like this. I love attacking people with a mask on. It’s part of my lineage to attack guys in a mask and its perfect; I even have a BUSHI mask. BUSHI is a guy from New Japan that gave me his mask to attack [Tetsuya] Naito with, so I kept that BUSHI mask and still have and sent the picture to Will.”
Jericho failed to have the last laugh as Ospreay beat him in front of the 81,035 fans at the Wembley Stadium on August 27.
