This Wednesday’s fifth anniversary edition of AEW Dynamite at the Peterson Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has added an exciting match-up: Bryan Danielson against Kazuchika Okada, their third fight. This time, they’re battling it out in a unique title-for-title set-up.
As revealed on the social media platform, Twitter, both championships will be on the stakes. Danielson is striving to prove himself as a combatant and offset the previous losses he sustained from Okada.
Nevertheless, a unique twist to this arrangement that some might say provides a ready excuse for predicting the outcome, has been outlined. This twist pertains to Okada’s AEW Continental Championship, which will only be at stake for the first 20 minutes of the duel. Beyond this period, only the AEW World Championship remains up for grabs.
This means that if the bout continues beyond the 20-minute mark, Danielson’s victory over Okada will not affect the Continental Championship, complementing this as a pseudo title-for-title match halfway through.
