AEW’s Bryan Danielson has shared why he prefers to have long matches as part of the All-Elite promotion.
Last month, Danielson came up short in the first-ever Iron Man match in AEW, which surpassed the original one-hour time limit.
During “Hey! (EW),” Danielson explained why he prefers having longer matches despite the greater risk of injury. He said,
“I would argue I’m not trying to impress anybody. I am trying to push myself and my physical and mental limits. Or I am trying to teach the youngsters to have better focus, to be able to watch something for a sustained period of time. That’s what I’d like my kids to be able to do, to sustain their focus, and not be distracted by all these stupid things that appear on mobile phones.”
Danielson recently returned to AEW programming and turned heel by attacking Kenny Omega.
