In a recent dialogue with Justin Barrasso of Undisputed to promote the upcoming WrestleDream 2024 pay-per-view occasion, Bryan Danielson, the AEW World Champion, shared what’s to come for him, and his health status ahead of tonight’s match.
Key takeaways from the conversation include:
Speaking about his plans post-WrestleDream 2024, Bryan acknowledged, “Regardless of the outcome at WrestleDream, my time is drawing near. Having started my wrestling career on Oct 4, 1999, the remaining part of my journey seems brief compared to the past 25 years. You never know when a match might be your last. Regrettably, I was obliged to retire for some time due to a concussion – a match with John Cena against Claudio and TJ Wilson was my last. Time will soon come when this might be my last as a full-time wrestler.”
On being queried about his health condition for the upcoming match, Bryan confessed, “The trainers, myself and my wife hold concerns about it. There have been instances in my career when I’ve been more worried. My primary focus is my long-term health. Currently, every health issue I have is treatable. The short-term question is whether I can perform to my standards which I believe I can. Regardless of the risks, I want to be in the ring, fighting the opponent I have chosen.”
To promote AEW WrestleDream 2024, Brody King had an engaging talk with Stephanie Chase. He elaborated on his upcoming face-off with Darby Allin and more.
Key highlights from the conversation include:
Speaking on Darby Allin, King expressed, “Once Darby threw open the challenge, I was determined to be the one to respond. The fact that I was chosen has made it worthwhile. This is the opportunity I’ve been awaiting to prove my worth yet again and, more importantly, at an AEW pay-per-view.”
Reflecting on his Cox Classic singles match, Brody shared, “I feel the Cox Classic was the perfect showcase for the lone fighter in me and I would like to keep dishing that out. I enjoy wrestling and its violent, chaotic nature, whether it’s singles, duos, or trios. I am up for anything.”
