At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II, Bryan Danielson defeated New Japan icon Kazuchika Okada in the main event of the how. However, Danielson sustained a severe arm injury midway through the match.

While it was initially reported that Danielson might just be able to make it back in time for AEW All In at Wembley Stadium in London, England, we now have a more definitive and more concerning update on ‘The American Dragon.’

Writing in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer disclosed that Danielson is expected to be out of action until mid-September at the very least, and more likely till October. This rules him out of AEW All In & AEW All Out the following week at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The potential for wrestling at AEW Grand Slam also remains slim.

We wish Bryan Danielson the best of luck on his road to recovery.
