Bryan Danielson Explains Using His ‘Yes!’ Chants At Forbidden Door II
– ADVERTISMENT –

Bryan Danielson defeated Kazuchika Okada in the main event of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II this past Sunday. Danielson suffered a broken arm during the match and will be out of action for at least six to eight weeks.

During the post-show media scrum for AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door II, Danielson discussed using his trademark “Yes!” chants during his match with Okada.

The leader of the Blackpool Combat Club explained that using the chants was a spur-of-the-moment idea after he hurt his arm during the match. Bryan said,

“Tonight was spur of the moment, only because, I was incapable of doing some of the things that I would have liked to do. I thought, ‘Okay, how do we bring the fans up? Oh, here is an easy solution.’ The Max match was a choice. It was the one time I was going to do it. Tonight was because I needed to do something.”

It is to be noted that Danielson was previously asked by WWE not to use the “Yes!” chants while under contract with AEW.
