Has Hulk Hogan seen the error of his ways? He has, according to his daughter Brooke.

Brooke Hogan was recently interviewed by Hollywood RAW and was asked if she believed that her father, WWE Hall Of Famer Hulk Hogan, has learned from his past mistakes. In recent years, Hulk had a sex tape scandal and was caught on camera using racist language during an anti-Black rant, which led to him being pulled from WWE events in 2015 and was excluded for many years.

The company slowly brought him back starting in 2018 and used him in a limited capacity at first, including having him host Crown Jewel that year. Hogan has since been inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame a second time and co-hosted WrestleMania 37 in Tampa this year, but there are some that still have not forgiven Hogan for his offensive behavior. Brooke, however, says her father has learned from his past and she believes that society as a whole is being held accountable for its actions and behavior.

“People say stuff in jest, people saying stuff joking, whatever — I think my Dad, from what I knew and listen, I don’t know what scandal we’re talking about because there’s been a few — but overall, it’s it saying something, if it’s doing something, obviously he’s learned. And I think when it comes to saying things, I grew up in a ‘South Park’ era. That was stuff where saying the word ‘gay’ didn’t mean gay [in the defined sense]. It meant like, ‘Dude, you’re stupid’ and that was just the culture that we grew around.

“And I think what’s nice about society today, even though it is like a cancel culture, the benefit of what’s happening is people are becoming more aware of what comes out of their mouth. These things that you speak are old school things or whatever it is, I don’t even think sometimes that people know the depth of what they’re saying mean. I think it’s great that we’re bringing light to it and saying, ‘Hey, you can’t say that because that represents that time in this culture’s life and it was really oppressive. That’s actually not cool to say.’ So I think that just in general, not only my Dad, but me, my friends, people I grew up with, everybody’s being a bit more careful and conscience and that’s nice because as a group of human beings on this Earth that have a whisper of time in the span of eternity, we’re all having this higher consciousness, our consciousness is raising and we’re coming together. In my heart of hearts, I don’t fully believe we are so separated by media and what side you stand on politically, this and that.”

Hogan spoke about the lukewarm reception he continues to get at WWE events from some talent, and told ESPN he believed it was because they felt threatened that he might take their “spot” on the roster.

“It’s a mixed bag. Some people I get a really warm reception from. Some of the younger guys are really cold to me,” Hogan said to ESPN in January, “like I’m coming to steal the main event. And I’m like, ‘I can’t do this anymore, guys! I’m not a threat!’”

Titus O’Neil, who co-hosted WrestleMania with Hogan, spoke to DAZN about his previous issues with Hogan’s “apology” to the WWE locker room. Titus previously said that Hogan’s apology was not remorseful, but co-hosting WrestleMania was a business decision made by Vince McMahon.
