WWE’s previous plans that involved Bronson Reed contending for the World Heavyweight Championship were confirmed by the famed Australian wrestler this week.
In the month of February, WWE conducted its well-known Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in the city of Perth, Australia. This was a significant event, as it marked the first time WWE has conducted a PPV down under since 2018.
Earlier reports suggested that WWE had intended for Bronson Reed to confront then reigning Champion Seth Rollins. However, due to Rollins’ sustaining an injury, this plan could not be implemented.
Reed, during a recent conversation with Nine.com.au, validated the information about him being the selected contender for the championship title in his homeland. His words were;
“I was faced with a tough situation … I have stated before that the match was prearranged. The authorities responsible for organizing the matches informed me that I would be competing against Seth Rollins in Australia. The thought of it felt like a dream. But to my dismay, Seth was injured, and that thought always haunted me.”
Reed later retaliated by attacking Rollins, now the former World Heavyweight Champion, during a post-SummerSlam 2024 RAW event causing Rollins to temporarily leave the show.
In the year 2024, Reed seized the victory for Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Currently, he’s embroiled in a feud on RAW with Braun Strowman.
Below is a snapshot of Bronson Reed’s substantial onslaught of six Tsunamis on Seth Rollins during the RAW highlights of August 5, 2024, in the following video.
