Bronson Reed Reveals The Inspiration For His MF DOOM Gear At WWE Crown Jewel 2024, More

In a recent interview with the famed Z93…The Rock Station!, Bronson Reed, a WWE superstar, shared insights about his MF DOOM-themed wrestling attire that he sported at the 2024 Crown Jewel event.

Check below for the main takeaways from his conversation:

Talking about his MF-DOOM-themed gear: “Being a significant hip-hop fan, I have a fondness for integrating things I enjoy from daily life, such as pop culture elements, into my wrestling. Attire can serve as a certain sort of representation of that. I have an artist friend back in Australia who is responsible for the designing of my singlets. I suggested him, ‘Let’s give MF DOOM a try.’ Thus, MF Reed came into existence and it turned out to be Operation DOOMsday for Seth Rollins. It was indeed a cool event.”

Discussing his gear ideas for the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania: “Yes, I definitely have a few [ideas still under progression]. A set for the Royal Rumble is completely ready. I have also started pondering upon the ‘Mania gear. However, I wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise. I love having these elements to surprise people.”

In another recent interview, this time with GQ, The Rock talked about his bond with his father, Rocky Johnson.

Check below for the main extracts from his dialogue:

Reflecting on his father’s constant tours: “My dad had this unique way of expressing love, wherein he had zero tolerance for BS. His upbringing was in an era where he had to struggle for everything, especially being a Black pro wrestler in the ’60s and ’70s, particularly in the South.”

Talking about Johnson’s parenting style: “He brought me up with a firm hand. He didn’t believe in violent punishment, but our bonding started from a very young age at the gym, which I was allowed to accompany from five or six but only as an observer. I just sat and observed him workout with his wrestler friends.”

Reflecting on Johnson’s tough past: “It’s a challenge to heal from such experiences. They mould your affections, the things you value, and the way you treat people. That really wrecked my dad. So his limited ability to love was what raised me.”

Discussing his father’s death: “Even when he was alive, our relationship was quite complex. He passed away suddenly four years ago, depriving me of a chance to make amends… That changes your perspective.”
