In the sixth installment of Cobra Kai, Britt Baker has a notable presence. She recently had a conversation with US Magazine about her casting experience on the show. Season six sees Baker taking on the persona of a coach at Tiger Strike Dojo. According to Baker, she landed this role through a fortuitous encounter with writer Hayden Schlossberg. She conveyed,
“Hayden, one of the show’s writers, and I crossed paths once, and he knew of me through social media. Jokingly – yet half-serious – I said to him, ‘If there’s ever any way I could be a part of the project, as a die-hard fan, I would jump at the opportunity.’”
Baker expanded on their conversation, “Sooner than later he reached out to me, telling me, ‘You possess the unyielding attitude of Cobra Kai. We’ve considered a role for you, if you’re interested.’”
Baker confessed, “In all honesty, I haven’t had a chance to see it yet. I’m eager to watch everything in one go once the full season is out!”
On a separate note, during a recent episode of the “AEW Close Up with Renee Paquette” podcast, Powerhouse Hobbs discussed his comeback on the Dynamite episode that aired on November 6th.
Find below a few snippets from the podcast:
About his mindset prior to his comeback: “Largely, I was consumed by apprehensions. I was unsure of the reception I would receive upon my return. On the day of my comeback, everything seems hazy except for the moments after my entrance music played. That was when I realized, ‘I’m back where I’m supposed to be, let’s just continue from where I left off.’”
Regarding the tough times during his absence due to injury: “I was on quite a run before the injury happened. Once I got hurt and surgery was inevitable, I began feeling depressed. I’ve been through similar feelings when my brother was fatally shot protecting me from a bullet destined for me. Such intense emotions started rising back to the surface, along with insecurities about my future.”
