WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart has shared his views on the gigantic karma backlash that Vince McMahon is facing owing to his tarnished reputation in 2024.
The beginning of the year saw McMahon giving up his throne at WWE for the second time, triggered by a lawsuit filed by Janel Grant. She alleged that he had been sexually abusive during their romantic involvement.
This stepping down varies from when McMahon quit WWE in 2022, as this time, his charisma and influence seemingly cannot compel his return. The consensus is that he has exited for good.
In a virtual autograph session organized by “Signed By Superstars,” Hart was asked for his perspective on McMahon’s downfall from the wrestling monarchy. His statement was simple yet weighty,
“What goes around comes around.”
It’s known that McMahon notoriously ‘wronged’ Hart in the Montreal Survivor Series 1997, leading to a bitter relationship that persisted for years between Hart, McMahon, and WWE.
Furthermore, during this autograph session, Hart was asked about the Owen Hart Cup Tournaments in AEW and if he had been contacted. His response was,
“Nope. He [Tony Khan] has never reached out to me… If he did, I’d definitely consider it. I admire Tony and would be thrilled to assist, but I’m not certain if I’d take that risk… I believe it might upset WWE, with whom I have all my connections. Nevertheless, there’s no harm in making the proposition.”
Bryan Danielson and Mariah May, champions of this year’s tournaments, are scheduled to compete for the World Championship titles at All In 2024.
