WWE Hall of Famer Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart recently visited the “The Wrestling Classic” podcast where he stepped down memory lane discussing his recent appearance on WWE RAW. Interestingly, he found out he’d be sharing the ring with WWE World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER just a few days before the event.
Bret joked in the interview, “Maybe four, five days ahead of time [I found out I’d be appearing on the show]. They contacted me and inquired if I would like to join. I thought to myself, ‘What else am I up to?’. That experience truly was special. The audience reaction was certainly unanticipated, considering the significant amount of time that has passed since I personally introduced myself to a Calgary crowd.”
He also addressed GUNTHER’s remarks about him being his runner-up favourite wrestler, trailing behind Bill Goldberg. Bret’s response was amusing as he simply said, “I think Bill got off light.”
