Bret Hart, widely recognized as the “best there is, was, and ever will be” in the wrestling world, recently spoke highly of an active WWE Superstar who he believes deserves to bear that title. During a freshest episode of the podcast “Casual Conversations”, he commended WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio and conveyed his admiration for the masked wrestling maestro.
Bret Hart expressed, “If I were to select one person [to wrestle], without a doubt, it would be Rey Mysterio. I frequently overlook Rey Mysterio, but in my view, he classifies as one of the topmost wrestlers in all history. He is totally on par as the best there is, best there was, best there ever will be. Truly, he’s extraordinary. The uniqueness he brings to the table is unparalleled. Nobody delivers like Rey Mysterio.”
2023 marked the year Mysterio was honored by WWE with an induction into their prestigious Hall of Fame, joining the ranks of the two earlier active members Ric Flair (2008) and Goldberg (2018.) In the course of his distinguished career, Mysterio has clinched three WWE World Championships and a plethora of other titles, not to mention winning the distinctly competitive 2006 Royal Rumble match.
Mysterio’s last appearance on WWE happened on the September 30, edition of Monday Night RAW, where he faced defeat, and also suffered the loss of his iconic mask, by Xavier Woods’ hands.
Bret Hart also recently voiced his feelings toward Goldberg’s name surfacing during his latest return to Raw. Click here for more details on his reaction.
