Over this past weekend, WWE superstar R-Truth made an announcement regarding his forthcoming exit from WWE at the end of his contract. In a similar vein, news has also surfaced that Carlito is set to depart the WWE as well.
Insiders have reported that Carlito has been notified about the non-renewal of his WWE contract, which is due to expire in the immediate future.
UPDATE: Carlito, a renowned WWE superstar, has given confirmation that his contract with WWE will not be extended. His twitter confirmation is quoted below:
My contract finishes in 2 weeks. It will not be extended. In addition, WWE is claiming that I reimburse them the money they paid me for purportedly “embezzling money” from them. In other news about Carlito, he has recently claimed the WWC Puerto Rico Championship title, defeating Ray Gonzalez at the Summer Madness event. This marks Carlito’s return to the championship – the previous instance of him holding the title was for a period of 83 days in 2014. Gonzalez’s sixth term with the championship has ended after 86 days, after wresting it from Tony Leyenda on March 1st.
