According to state law in Kentucky, strangulation in the first degree is described as one person choking another that causes an injury. As far as burglary in the second degree is concerned, this pertains to non-residential burglaries.

Whitmer posted a bond of $25,000 on June 12th and was released from jail.

As of this writing, there is no word on the specific circumstances surrounding the incident. The case will need to go before a grand jury before he is indicted. As of this writing, there is no court date set.

AEW issued the following statement regarding the matter:

“B.J. Whitmer has been terminated following his arrest on domestic violence charges. While talent and staff are ultimately responsible for their own personal actions, this behavior is intolerable within AEW. AEW has reached out to offer support to those impacted by his behavior.”
