The recent episode of AEW Dynamite witnessed its second-lowest viewership in its usual time slot, as the ratings dipped.
The episode that aired on July 31st attracted a viewership of 609,000, reflecting a 0.18 rating in the key demographic of 18-49 and a 0.13 rating in the 18-34 demographic.
The broadcast of AEW Dynamite was competing against the Olympics which garnered 13,374,000 viewers and a 2.33 rating on NBC, alongside 1,273,000 viewers with a 0.38 rating on USA network.
Despite the competition, AEW Dynamite managed to secure the third spot on cable during its initial hour and the second spot in its second hour. In terms of the day’s ranking, the show secured the eight place with Olympics and three Fox News broadcasts outperforming it.
When compared to the previous week, AEW Dynamite observed a drop of 22.5% in the number of viewers and a plunge of 33.4% in ratings in the 18-49 demographic. There was a marginal decline of 2.1% ratings in the 18-34 demographic.
Yearly comparison shows that AEW Dynamite’s viewership dived by 31.9%, and it saw a drop of 43.1% in 18-49 and 32.1% decline in 18-34 demographic ratings. The show attracted 64,000 male viewers in 18-34, 31,000 female viewers in the same demographic, 91,000 male viewers in the 35-49 group, and 45,000 female viewers in the same range.
The MJF and Will Ospreay segment and Ospreay’s face-off with Lance Archer drew 656,000 viewers, with 230,000 in the 18-49 demographic. These figures fluctuated across different segments of the show, with figures rising and falling in a range from 584,000 to 646,000 for total viewership, and 214,000 to 257,000 in the key 18-49 demographic. The final part of the show saw an upswing with 617,000 viewers, 238,000 being in the 18-49 demographic.
