The episode of AEW Dynamite aired on June 26th bounced back to its usual audience numbers after previously recording lower-than-average views the week prior.

The program pulled in 680,000 viewers and scored a 0.22 rating, represented by approximately 288,000 viewers in the critical demographic group of 18-49 years old. In the age group of 18-34 years old, it garnered a rating of 0.13.

A thorough analysis of the audience numbers, complete with a quarter-hourly breakdown, was shared by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. AEW Dynamite secured the 6th spot for the evening, and ranked 3rd in its time slot, falling behind the NBA Draft on ESPN, which had 2,220,000 viewers with a 0.79 rating and the English broadcast of Copa America on FS1, and 2,193,000 viewers on ABC with a 0.5 rating. The wrestling program was outperformed by The Big Bang Theory, which aired prior to Dynamite, gathering 896,000 viewers and a 0.16 rating.

Dynamite’s audience included 44,000 male viewers aged 18-34, 51,000 female viewers of the same age group, 132,000 males viewers aged 35-49, and 73,000 female viewers in the latter demographic. Of note, 60.7% of viewers in the 18-49 demographic were male.

The latest figures, compared to the previous week, recorded a 35.2% rise in total viewership, the 18-49 demographic, and an increase of 4.4% in the 18-34 demographic. However, a year-on-year comparison reflected a 15.9% decrease in total viewership, with an 8.9% decrease in the 18-49 demographic and a significant 28.6% decrease in the 18-34 demographic.

In the detailed breakdown, for the first quarter, the MJF, Daniel Garcia & Will Ospreay segment had 846,000 viewers, which fell to 706,000 during the Swerve Strickland promo. The trend continued as viewership reduced to 631,000 during the end of BCC vs. LIJ/Jay White vs. Rey Fenix segment. Despite fluctuations during the subsequent segments, the number remained relatively steady during the last quarter and even the overrun.
