In a recent episode of the “Insight” podcast, Braun Strowman shared his experiences from his Swamp Fight at WWE Extreme Rules 2020 against Bray Wyatt, an ordeal which allegedly led to his hospitalization.

Wyatt claimed victory from the fight by dragging Strowman into the swamp.

Below are some top moments excerpted from the podcast:

Discussing the match and its aftermath, Strowman said, “My coach, my guide, my master, gave me the chance to demonstrate the skills and the capabilities he inculcated in me… We toiled for close to 32 hours straight in the scorching heat of Florida to film this. It took a heavy toll on both of us. Afterward, I found myself in the hospital. I returned home only to collapse due to full body cramps. Emergency personnel had to evacuate me from my home and put me on a double IV. It required four liters of fluid to halt my body cramps.”

Talking about the fans’ negative reaction to the match, he mused: “The internet critics voiced their dislike, and my reaction was simply – really? While they’re of course entitled to their own opinions, it’s hard to accept such criticism when I’d almost risked my life to make this happen for their enjoyment. It can indeed be challenging dealing with critics when you’re sacrificing your health and well-being merely to bring smiles to other people’s faces.”
