Bray Wyatt was often considered the ‘successor’ to The Undertaker’s spooky character, but the WWE Hall of Famer believes that he never needed to ‘pass the torch.’
On a recent edition of the “Wrestle Binge” podcast, The Undertaker spoke about Wyatt and how the former Universal Champion didn’t need a torch to be passed. He said,
“You know what? I think he created his own torch. I don’t think he needed a torch. Obviously, there were several comparisons between our characters and some of the stuff that we put out there. But, yeah, he lit his own torch, and he carried it proudly.”
Wyatt and The Undertaker feuded in 2015 with the Phenom winning at that year’s WrestleMania 31 pay-per-view event as well as in a tag-team match at Survivor Series.
The two interacted during the RAW is XXX event earlier this year. Wyatt died in August 2023 at the age of 36.
