The most recent episode of WWE Monday Night Raw reached its climax with Braun Strowman triumphing over Big Bronson Reed in a Last Monster Standing match. The match was a thrilling spectacle that saw not only the wrestling ring crumble to pieces, but also featured the surprise comeback of Seth “Freakin'” Rollins, whose interference led to Reed’s eventual defeat.
Though Strowman emerged as the victor, his victory wasn’t without some downsides. Reports suggest that he may have been hurt during the intense melee.
On a recent instance of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez announced that Strowman had possibly incurred a groin tear injury. He explained,
“I did get it confirmed – if you watched the Raw show last night, the Last Monster Standing match. They went to a commercial break, and they came back, and Braun Strowman got hit by Bronson Reed with a Samoan Drop. Braun Strowman clutched his thigh/groin area, and then they were meant to do a sequence where he thrust Bronson Reed off the apron through some chairs. (Strowman) starts running, and I knew instantly, this guy’s injured. He typically doesn’t move that fast, but he couldn’t even navigate the ropes – he was limping along the ropes. He propels (Reed) off the apron and there was a lengthy period where he just kind of stayed there in the corner and the ref’s frantically signaling the back. He may have torn his groin is what it’s seeming. That’s certainly what the suspicion was yesterday.”
Let’s hope that if The Monster of All Monsters Braun Strowman is indeed suffering from an injury, he recovers soon and is back in the ring before long.
