Braun Strowman Becomes New Intercontinental Champion

Braun Strowman and Shinsuke Nakamura took each other on during tonight’s SmackDown, and in a shocking turn of events, Strowman was able to take down Nakamura to become the newest WWE Intercontinental Champion. The win was the first singles title for Strowman in the history of his career, and came after Sami Zayn attempted to help Nakamura win with the help of an exposed turnbuckle.

Nakamura lands a few leg kicks and elbows. Nakamura avoids all of Strowman’s offense until Strowman floors him with a shoulder block. Strowman tosses Nakamura around the ring. Strowman crushes Nakamura in the corner. Strowman misses a big boot. Nakamura lays into Strowman with a few stiff knee shots. Nakamura distracts the referee while Zayn attacks Strowman. Strowman destroys Nakamura with a lariat. Strowman shoulder blocks Nakamura again. Nakamura rolls out of the ring. Strowman follows and freight trains Nakamura. Strowman sends Nakamura back into the ring. Nakamura kicks Strowman in the head. Nakamura follows that with a Kinshasa to the back of Strowman’s head. Strowman kicks out. Zayn gets on the apron and removes the turnbuckle pad. Nakamura tries to send Strowman into the exposed turnbuckle but Strowman counters and slams Nakamura’s head into the exposed metal. Strowman flattens Nakamura with a running power slam for the win.
