Booker T believes Ronda Rousey would be a good fit in All Elite Wrestling.
Speaking on the latest edition of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T gave his thoughts on why AEW might be a good fit for the Rowdy One, and more.
You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:
On AEW’s motive to acquire Rousey for their roster: “I don’t think Tony Khan is really concerned about how much money he’s spending on getting these guys under that banner. I think he’s moreso happy having those guys around and seeing those guys as a part of AEW. That right there, that’s a notch on the belt right there, snatching someone like Ronda Rousey from WWE. Just being able to say that. If Ronda Rousey is smart, she’ll sign a contract too and make sure the contract is only for 10 days a year.”
On why AEW might be a good fit for Rousey: “So for me, Ronda was like, ‘Man, I like this WWE thing, it’s been cool having those WrestleMania moments with The Rock. Oh, that’s great, but I don’t have time to be on the road every weekend, that isn’t want I want to do.’ But for Ronda to be able to do this when she wants to do it, I think AEW is the greatest place for her to be.”

Ronda Rousey, the former UFC champion and WWE superstar, has been making headlines recently with rumors of a potential move to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Booker T, a two-time WWE Hall of Famer, believes that Rousey would be a good fit in AEW and shared his thoughts on the matter on his “Hall of Fame” podcast.
One of the reasons Booker T believes AEW would be a good fit for Rousey is the company’s motive to acquire her for their roster. He suggests that AEW owner Tony Khan is not concerned about the amount of money he would spend to bring in top talent like Rousey. Instead, Khan sees the value in having high-profile names associated with AEW. Snatching someone like Ronda Rousey from WWE would be a significant achievement for AEW and a testament to their growing reputation in the wrestling industry.
Booker T also highlights the flexibility that AEW offers its talent, which he believes would suit Rousey’s preferences. He mentions that Rousey enjoyed her time in WWE, particularly the WrestleMania moments she had with The Rock. However, the demanding schedule of being on the road every weekend may not align with Rousey’s current priorities. AEW’s more relaxed schedule, where talent can choose when they want to perform, would allow Rousey to continue pursuing her other interests outside of wrestling while still being involved in the industry.
While these are Booker T’s opinions, it is worth noting that Rousey has not made any official announcements regarding her future plans. However, the speculation surrounding her potential move to AEW has generated excitement among wrestling fans.
Rousey’s crossover appeal from her successful MMA career to her stint in WWE has made her a highly sought-after talent in the wrestling world. Her athleticism, charisma, and star power would undoubtedly be valuable assets for any promotion she chooses to join.
