Booker T – ‘WWE Didn’t Bury LA Knight With Money In The Bank Defeat’
– ADVERTISMENT –

LA Knight wasn’t buried at WWE Money in the Bank despite what some may believe, according to Booker T.

Knight was one of the seven entrants in the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, and despite being a favorite, came up short against eventual winner Damian Priest.

Many have called-out WWE for not giving Knight the win, but on his “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker refuted the idea that Knight was ‘buried’ in London. He said,

“I don’t see it that way. People want things when they want it. They ain’t writing the show, it’s not their show.”

“One thing about the fans, they would’ve popped if he won. But you remember when Kofi Kingston won the title? Did they pop? Did they continuously pop for him on a regular basis like they did that one night?

“Do I believe LA Knight can hold that spot? Hell yeah, I believe it. I believe it 100 percent, and I believe not winning the Money in the Bank, he’s gonna prove it even more why he should be in that spot.”

Booker added that to be elevated to the next level, Priest needs the Money in the Bank briefcase more than Knight.

Priest attempted to cash in during the World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor during Money in the Bank, but his title match never officially began.
