Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T hopes to see either Seth Rollins on Gunther leave Jeddah as the new World Heavyweight Champion later this month.
The title was announced by Triple H on last week’s RAW in response to Undisputed WWE Universal Champion wrestling sporadically thanks to his contract.
Speaking on his “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker argued that Seth Rollins’ work in the ring, as well as his conduct on social media, make him an excellent pick. He said,
“[Seth Rollins is] a major player. To put the title on Seth is definitely not a wrong move or anything like that. Seth has been the guy who’s been a soldier, dawg. He’s been a soldier in this war.”
Booker also stated that Gunther, already the Intercontinental Champion, could be adding more gold to his collection soon enough. He said,
“He’s got all the tools,” Booker explained. “He’s got everything that you want to hate as far as that old-school ultimate bad guy and if anybody can pull it off, it’s gonna be that dude.”
Gunther, alongside his Imperium allies Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser, was drafted from SmackDown to RAW earlier this month.
The new WWE World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned at WWE Night of Champions on May 27.
