During one of the latest episodes of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker T, who has twice been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, shared his views on the meteoric rise of Roman Reigns. He specifically noted how Reigns has managed to carve out a unique space for himself in relation to Seth Rollins and Jon Moxley, with whom he worked closely in The Shield.
Below are some noteworthy points from the podcast:
Speaking on Roman Reigns, Booker T expressed, “He’s got you hooked. Roman is a genuine player in the game, someone who will produce excellent work on either side of the board. You’re going to adore him and find pleasure in despising him. That’s who Roman Reigns is.”
On the topic of Reigns differentiating himself from the other members of The Shield, Booker T noted, “He’s made tremendous progress. I’m not joking. My initial thought was Seth Rollins was the one from the group who was really going to stand out. Not to discredit Seth, he has done some great work. But when I examine Roman, I look at his accomplishments and I think, ‘Wow, this guy has truly distinguished himself in terms of being that dominant presence in the ring, something I’ve not observed in a long time.’”
For those interested, the podcast, which also discusses topics like Bryan Danielson’s Retirement and The Rock’s response to WrestleMania 41, is available to stream.
