In a recent installment of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, professional wrestling legend Booker T disclosed that his all-time favourite wrestling encounter is Randy Savage’s clash with Ricky Steamboat at WWE WrestleMania 3.

As for WWE’s utilization of Jesse Ventura for the Saturday Night’s Main Event, Booker said, “Saturday Night Main Event has always held a special place in my heart. It was normally the platform for a Hogan appearance. The anticipation and hype made it feel like a major heavyweight title fight, and the current publicity keeps that vibe alive.”
When asked about Ventura, he expressed, “Jesse was always a star. His persona, Jesse The Body, always stood out and he was exactly what he portrayed himself to be. He’s firmly remains one of my personal favorites.”
Regarding his favourite wrestling bout, he divulged, “The match between Steamboat and Savage is it for me. I may be showing my age, but for me, that encapsulates the greatest match ever. It played a pivotal role in making me want to pursue wrestling on that level. Truly, after watching those two, I told myself, ‘One day, I need to perform like that.’ And yes, that would be the match that stands out for me.”
