During the latest episode of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, iconic wrestler Booker T delved into his conversation with CM Punk during WWE NXT’s debut on The CW Network.

Discussing his encounter with CM Punk during WWE NXT, Booker T said, “My words to him were something like, ‘You truly nailed it tonight. Absolutely terrific.’ Fans weren’t privy to this backstage exchange, but they did witness an exceptional moment from CM Punk that night.” As Booker shared, he was eager to express gratitude towards CM Punk for his appreciative words about Vic and himself, along with the progress of NXT.
He further acknowledged their shared love for NXT saying, “CM Punk and I have much in common, especially when it comes to our passion for NXT. Working with these young talents gives me immense satisfaction, and Punk feels the same. As I told him, ‘NXT is a rejuvenating experience.’ He agreed, calling it the ‘fountain of youth.'”
Booker T also addressed rumors of personal feuds with Punk and others. He said, “We are past the stage of engrossing ourselves in virtual disputes that people often speculate. As an example, a comment claimed that people believed I meant harm to Corey Graves, or considered Punk and me as arch-enemies due to online rumors. This only exemplifies that wrestling’s real-life drama is still credible if presented authentically.”
On dispelling rumors regarding his supposed beef with Punk, he claimed, “That shared moment was quite memorable and proved our cordial relationship. Still, people will believe what we portray. That’s the intriguing aspect of our profession.”
