During WWE Bad Blood 2024, Goldberg made an unexpected appearance, confronting GUNTHER, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at the time.
Goldberg, a former champion himself, was insulted by GUNTHER several times while he was sitting in the audience. This led to Goldberg, a WWE Hall of Famer, breaching the audience barrier. Before things could further escalate, security stepped in to stop any physical altercation.
On a recent episode of his podcast, ‘Hall of Fame’, Booker T shared his thoughts about WWE hinting at a possible match between Goldberg and GUNTHER at WWE Bad Blood 2024.

On the incident: “In that moment, everyone came out on top. Witnessing Goldberg and the chant for him in Atlanta, his local area, was incredibly cool. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire incident.”
On Gunther insulting Goldberg’s parenting: ‘There’s a difference between insulting me and insulting my child.’ That’s the kind of sentiment it was. As a father, I understand that anger. If someone were to insult my child, I might lose control. That’s what I perceived in this episode, adding to its drama. When I watch shows, especially wrestling ones, I look for real, intense drama, which was definitely present in this incident.”
On Gunther’s portrayal: “His acting was impeccable. He’s quite skilled. I was struck by how he held everything together. It was fascinating. Right now, it seems like everyone is operating at top capacity. The talent pool is delivering exceptional performances.”
