Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T is optimistic about the possibility of Nick Aldis joining WWE now that the British wrestler is a free agent once more.
Aldis finished his recent stint with Impact Wrestling following the promotion’s Slammiversary event where he lost to Impact World Champion Alex Shelley.
Addressing the possibility of Aldis coming to WWE, Booker told listeners of his “Hall of Fame” podcast that he isn’t against the idea. He said,
“He’s a guy who is mature enough to understand what this business is about, more than anything. That’s what I say about guys coming into WWE, they gotta be seasoned a lot of times in order to really, really understand what that thing is about.”
“I think a guy like Nick Aldis would definitely be an addition to that WWE roster, perhaps in some way, in some form. I don’t know exactly how, but I do think Nick Aldis is a name, his name has some value to it around the world, not just in Impact Wrestling, I think you say the name, ‘Nick Aldis,’ pretty much if you’re in the wrestling world, you’re going to know who he is.”
Booker’s comments are a far cry from comments made last November, in which he claimed Aldis was “past his prime” and had wasted his time working with the NWA.
While WWE is said to be interested in Aldis, fans may not be seeing the former NWA Worlds Champion in the ring. Click here to see what WWE has planned.
