On the “Six Feet Under” podcast hosted by WWE’s famous Undertaker, the renowned Hall of Famer Booker T made an appearance recently. During the dialogue, he professed that his King Booker persona was the pinnacle of his career span.

Below are some noteworthy excerpts from the conversation held during the podcast

While discussing his popular King Booker character, Booker T expressed his profound fondness for the venerated gimmick. He said, “I was infatuated with it. That particular era was undoubtedly the zenith of my career. Surprisingly, it was inspired by Savage. Many people were oblivious to this fact. Savage was known for his notorious twirling finger act, so I decided to incorporate that into my personality. Savage, in my opinion, was an exceptional king. I saw him as someone who I could genuinely imitate. I aspired to enhance and elevate that character. I was determined to shatter the stereotypes. I envisaged a future where when people thought of the King of the Ring, they would instantaneously picture King Booker. Sharmell and I had a whale of a time concocting those memorable moments. But the entire experience was profoundly visceral for me. The sensation was as authentic as it possibly could be. Especially the feeling of governing the Smackdown kingdom single-handedly. Having Regal as my royal court gave me a sense of unshakeable power. Forcing John Cena to submit and revere me by kissing my feet were indeed some of my most influential acts.”

While addressing the comparisons of his kingly run to those of others, he stated, “I have a problem with that as well. I felt uncomfortable when people compared my reign as a king to others. A year or so ago they stacked up the kings, placing Stone Cold at the pinnacle. However, while you might be fond of Steve Austin, he didn’t make a better King in my opinion”.
