In a recent episode of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker T, a renowned member of the WWE Hall of Fame, shared his thoughts on Roman Reigns’ dramatic comeback at WWE’s SummerSlam 2024 event.
Reigns made a grand re-entrance to WWE programming this past weekend. He firmly marked his return by launching an attack on Solo Sikoa and assisting Cody Rhodes in holding on to the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in SummerSlam 2024’s main event.
Here are a few highlights from the podcast:
Regarding Roman Reigns’ WWE comeback: “I was absolutely thrilled, although I felt it came a bit early. I believed Roman could’ve benefitted from a few additional weeks of rest [laughs].”
“However, let me tell you, I did not see this surprise return coming. It was an unexpected delight to see Roman back in the picture. The situation is quite different now, with the fans cheering for him. I’m keen to see how this new dynamic unfolds. But, let’s be clear, I was pumped.!”
Concerning Bron Breakker’s Intercontinental Title triumph: “As I always mention, being the champion constitutes the toughest job you’ll ever undertake. Looking at competitors like Bayley, Becky Lynch, or Roman Reigns in the champion’s seat reminds me of one thing – the organization must trust you profoundly. This deep-seated trust entails handling everything – touring the cities, promotional tasks, sales, and consistently delivering thrilling performances.”
“One couldn’t ignore the glow of Roman Reigns being the champion, and I always emphasize the growth of every wrestler who collaborates with Roman Reigns, both personally and professionally. This is conspicuously evident. Moving forward, Bron Breakker must decipher ways to replicate this phenomenon to carve his desired legacy. The key lies in psychology and the ability to outperform and uplift everyone else. That’s something that Bron Breakker needs to contemplate seriously during this championship run.”
