Booker T, WWE Hall of Famer, brought up the topic of Bobby Lashley and MVP potentially parting ways with WWE on a recent episode of his “Hall of Fame” podcast. The rumors suggest that the two wrestlers might aim to resurrect The Hurt Business in AEW. The contracts for both wrestlers are nearing their ends, with MVP’s set to expire next month and Lashley’s following shortly after.

Some highlights from the podcast include:

Regarding Bobby Lashley and MVP’s WWE departure, Booker T stated, “There’s all kinds of talk and rumor about Bobby Lashley and MVP’s future. The possibility of them leaving isn’t confirmed yet. But there are whispers that they might resurrect the Hurt Business in AEW. That seems like pure conjecture at this stage. I doubt such discussions would be happening this soon before either of them has officially left WWE. If these two wrestlers were to depart WWE, there’s bound to be widespread speculation about their next move.”

When asked about his preferred promotion for The Hurt Business – AEW, TNA, or NJPW, Booker T chose TNA. He explained, “Unlike in Japan where the focus is simply on the wrestling, in TNA promo skills and group dynamics matter. The Bullet Club, for example, was known for their matches, not for their unity. I believe TNA and AEW could bring ample attention to The Hurt Business, but AEW risks overshadowing them amidst its vast roster. The question remains, will the Hurt Business get adequate screen time and impactful narratives?”

Addressing why TNA might be a better alternative, Booker T clarified, “If done correctly, TNA can provide a platform where these wrestlers are spotlighted regularly. Potentially, they could reform the Hurt Business with the inclusion of Moose. Although they might earn more in AEW, a good setup in TNA supplemented with other projects could generate substantial income. For me, building something impactful in a less saturated space like TNA seems like a win-win.” Here’s the full podcast episode.
