In a recent episode of his podcast known as “Hall of Fame”, Booker T shared his thoughts on several NXT members and unveiled his picks for the top performer. He remarked,
“Should I have to pick one person to pass the torch to at this point, it would no doubt be Trick Williams. Absolutely. Ridge Holland, on the other hand… does he warrant a share of the spotlight? Without any hesitation. Is he delivering his A-game at this moment, in his WWE tenure? Unquestionably. This is something I strongly believe in.”
“Is it plausible for an individual like Wes Lee to rise to the occasion and bag the NXT Championship? In my opinion, it certainly is. What about Ethan Page? Unsurprisingly, I share the same sentiment. However, If I had to single out one individual who’s currently holding the reins, without a doubt, it’s Trick Williams.”
Over the past weekend, Williams managed to retain his NXT World Championship title against Holland in a thrilling encounter at WWE NXT Deadline.
In the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge match, Lee and Page had a significant role. The match was ultimately clinched by the comeback contestant Oba Femi, who stepped in for Eddy Thorpe.
Next on the cards, Femi is set to contest for the NXT World Title at the New Year’s Evil event planned for next month. On the other hand, Williams is readying himself to safeguard his championship against Thorpe next week.
